LED Lighting Solutions
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) continue to meet and exceed the capabilities of traditional lighting technologies in many areas, including efficiency, longevity, ruggedness, range of operating temperatures and economic benefits.
Ahead of the rapid advancements in LED technology, MARLEX Engineering has developed applications that utilize the current generation of LEDs and is designing new technologies to take advantage of improvements in LED capabilities in the near future.
The rugged nature of LEDs makes them ideal in environments where they will be exposed to shock and vibration, such as automotive applications. Our High-Output LED Lamp Driver has been used to drive the forward illumination needed for extreme off-road racing.
Fluorescent tubes contain toxic mercury and they are not well suited for operation in cold temperatures. Eliminating these and other deficiencies, MARLEX has created and patent pending technology for a drop-in LED replacement of a fluorescent tube.
High-Output LED Lamp Driver
MARLEX has designed both concept and production LED driver circuits for the Heavy Duty trucking industry. LED lighting is quickly replacing conventional filament-type lighting in the automotive industry, providing the advantages of increased longevity through vibration resistance, lower power consumption, faster turn-on response, and lower total cost of ownership when compared to traditional incandescent lighting.

LED Replacement for Fluorescent Tube
MARLEX has developed a drop-in LED lamp module to replace fluorescent tubes. This breakthrough patented technology can be used in both specialty and general lighting applications. The F32T8 Tube LED Replacement Module utilizes the existing size, shape and connections of a standard four foot F32T8 fluorescent tube and can be operated either directly from the mains supply or by the ballast that is currently in the fixture. This allows for a simple retrofit of existing F32T8 lighting installations without the need to rewire the fixture. Our LED tube-replacement technology provides the advantages of:
- Increased lamp life
- Wireless RF based ON/OFF and dimming control
- Energy Savings through occupancy management and daylight harvesting applications
- Environmentally friendly alternative to mercury-based fluorescent lighting
- Shatter resistant lamp design
- Lower total cost of ownership
The MARLEX design team is currently adapting our LED lamp drive technology to other applications, including HID Lamp replacement.
